Here you will find a number of lunch box ideas, colour-coded for each day of the week!
Included are gluten-free, lactose-free and nut-free options.
YELLOW MONDAY
RECESS
- Fresh pineapple pieces / Banana
- Mango honey gummies
- Banana Chia Pod (available in supermarkets)
LUNCH
- Corn thins (ie. Real Foods) + cheddar cheese slices/cubes
- Corn cob
- Boiled egg
- Yellow capsicum sticks (or any colour)
Gluten-free – Lactose-free – Nut-free
RED TUESDAY
RECESS
- Small container of cherry tomatoes
- Strawberries / Raspberries / Red apple / Watermelon pieces
- Naturally nood bar ‘Berry Licious’ (available from Woolworths) – contains nuts
- Refined sugar-free strawberry yoghurt (ie. Jalna)
LUNCH
- Eggcellent savoury muffins
- Dried goji berries / Preservative-free currants (ie. Coles brand)
- Raspberry bliss balls – contains nuts, but can be made with pepita seeds/sunflower seeds instead
Gluten-free – Can be made Lactose-free and Nut-free
GREEN WEDNESDAY
RECESS
- Grapes / Pear
- Lightly salted popcorn (ie. Sunbites)
- Kiwi lemon gummies
- Golden Days nude nood bar / Heavenly balls (any flavour) – contain nuts
- Nut-free Cocoa Berry Bites
LUNCH
- Rice cakes (ie. Pure Harvest or Sun Rice) + ¼-½ avocado + tin tuna – pack these separately with knife and fork for child to make at lunch time
- Zucchini Slice
- Snowpeas + cucumber sticks with tzatziki or guacamole dip (ie. Obela brand)
- Green apple / Kiwi fruit

ORANGE THURSDAY
RECESS
- Orange quarters / Mandarin / Tangelo
- Organic corn chips (ie. Macro) – pack in a small ziplock bag
- Carrot sticks with cream cheese or Hommus (ie. Roza’s or Macro brand)
- Chocolate fudge gummies
LUNCH
- Wholegrain sandwich – curried egg, grated carrot + cucumber
- Small container of orange cherry tomatoes
- Orange cake bliss balls
- Rockmelon cubes / Apricot
Nut-free – Can be made Lactose-free and Gluten-free
BLUE FRIDAY
RECESS
- Blueberry and lemon gummies
- Purple grapes / Plum / Medjool dates
- Coconut chips + cashew nuts mix
- Flourless banana and blueberry pikelets or slice of Blueberry and banana bread
LUNCH
- Row of wholegrain or plain rice crackers (ie. Sakata) with cheddar cheese +/or roast beef slices – pack these separately for child to combine at lunch time
- Purple (or orange) carrot and cucumber sticks with tzatziki dip
- Blueberry Chia Pod (available in supermarkets) or refined sugar-free mixed berry yoghurt (ie. Jalna)
